Vicky Kaushal's 'URI: The Surgical Strike' mints Rs 70.94 crores in its first week

The Vicky Kaushal starrer has recovered the film's production cost in its release week itself.

Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is on a winning spree as keeping the josh high the movie is running successfully on the box office as it marks 7.4 crores on Thursday which keeps the game strong for RSVP's 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'.

Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, on its seventh day of release stays rock solid at the box office and spilling the magic on the audience.

'Uri' has taken a strong lead at the box-office with a growing trend. The movie has set the box- office on fire with collecting Fri 8.20 cr, Sat 12.43 cr, Sun 15.10 cr Mon 10.51 cr, Tue 9.57 cr, Wed 7.73 cr and on Thursday with 70.94 crores as a grand total.

The Vicky Kaushal starrer has recovered the film's production cost in its release week itself. Within the span of three days post the film's release, the film managed to recover its budget of 28 Cr which touts the film to be a blockbuster.

Touted to be the first content film of the year, Uri: The Surgical Strike has been winning hearts emerging to be one of the first hit of 2019 given by RSVP after giving Kedarnath.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian army in 2016. Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and debutante Mohit Raina. The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and it has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
