It's official! Aditi Rao Hydari to play Bhoomi in Sanjay Dutt's comeback film

Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt had been long waiting to get rolling with his comeback vehicle for the longest time and seems like the film is all set to go on the floors.

Director Omung Kumar, who had been scouting for his leading lady for a while now, has finally found his ‘Bhoomi’ in Aditi Rao Hydari.

The ethereally beautiful actress, who had appeared in two critically acclaimed roles last year, in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Wazir’ and Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor,’ will be seen playing Sanjay’s daughter in the film.

“Aditi fits the role like a glove. She is what I want to see in my Bhoomi,” said Omung.

The actress is currently prepping for the film, which will commence shooting next month.

Producer Sandeep Singh added, “As a producer, I am really looking forward to Sanjay Dutt playing a father’s role. Aditi befits the role completely. I am really keen on seeing the brilliance of two talented actors in a never-seen-before pairing come alive on screen.”

Set entirely in Uttar Pradesh, the film is an emotional revenge drama. It's set to release on August 4.
