Mumbai: Johar’s sexual preferences may have been the point discussion for gossip mongers but in his biography, the ace director clearly remembers having paid sex for the first two times and confessed to being ‘very backward in this department’.
At the age of 26, Karan had his first experience in New York, which was paid and something he is not ‘proud’ of, but failed to consummate. A self-confessed late bloomer, Karan went for it the second time but left the room with ‘guilt’. “This time, I walked out with guilt. I felt miserable. It’s not that the sexual release was fun. It just seemed a bit stupid; it seemed fake because obviously the person assigned to please you is going to please you artificially,” he recalls in his memoir.
Contrary to popular belief, Karan does not have a ‘lot of sex’ neither does he ‘care about it’. “But I don’t want that much (sex). Actually I don’t care about it. People think that since I am travelling a lot, I am having a lot of sex. But it doesn’t happen that way. A boarding pass is not a pass for sex. I am not in love with anyone anymore,” asserts the seasoned filmmaker.
