Mumbai: Irrfan Khan’s films Hindi Medium and Qarib Qarib Singlle did rather well. And now, the flag bearer of content driven films in India, will be seen in a web series. Called The Ministry, our sources tell us that the actor will play an aspiring politician in it.
“Irrfan, who is known for his sarcasm, will be seen as an aspiring politician in The Ministry. He will lend his own style and nuance to the character. He is to start shooting for the series next week,” the source says. The Ministry will be a political satire set in contemporary India’s corridors of power. It will showcase the story of a washed up, narcissistic Bollywood actor, who is unwittingly appointed as a placeholder Union culture minister.
After this, Irrfan will be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next, where he will be playing a gangster.
