Preity Zinta buys another team!

The actress has used her IPL profits to acquire another team in South Africa's T20 Global League.

Former Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has taken another step forward by making good use of the profits she made from her IPL team, Kings XI Punjab. The Dil Se damsel has acquired another cricketing team, called Stellenbosch, in South Africa’s T20 Global League (T20GL) for $30 million. South African skipper Faf du Plessis is the captain of the team that Preity now owns.

“This was not a planned move so I just went with the flow. We have been making profits with Kings XI Punjab in the past but now it will be a different story. Managing Kings XI has been an unbelievable experience and I hope to forward that to Stellenbosch,” says the actress, who believes that it is all about taking the monies and the experience ahead to grow as an entrepreneur.

Interestingly, with this new purchase Preity has joined SRK who also owns a cricket team in the South African Premier League that is being captained by J.P. Duminy.

“I learnt a lot about cricket and business in IPL. This can be a wonderful opportunity to look for talent in another continent and take our brand global,” says the actress.
