'Don't do that!': Vidya Balan lashes out at fan who touched her without her consent

Mumbai: It’s no secret that Vidya Balan shares a great rapport with her fans and is extremely friendly during interactions. However, some times fans do take it too far when they meet their favourite stars.

Recently, Vidya Balan was at the Kolkata airport with her film Begum Jaan’s director and producer when a fan approached her for a selfie. Being her sweet self, Vidya agreed for it. However, what happened next left the actress feeling rather irritated.

According to a report that appeared on Spotboye, a fan tried to get too close to Vidya and put his arm around her without even asking for her permission.

Not too happy with a stranger’s uncalled friendly behaviour, Vidya sternly asked the man to not do it. Her manager warned the fan as well when the man didn’t take his hand off Vidya immediately.

During his second attempt to get a selfi with the actress, he put his arm around Vidya yet again. “What do you think you are doing? This is wrong.” Vidya Balan confronted him but he continued to ask for a selfie.

Vidya Balan lashed back at him saying, “No you can't, behave yourself!” before walking off.

Later while speaking to the same online portal, the actress said, “When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space. We are public figures, not public property.”
