There is no doubt that when it comes to romance in India, Bollywood sets the standar.
The matinee idols keep us hooked to not only their screen romances but also real-life romances, and especially so after Instagram began so easily providing us with what the paparazzi has been struggling through for all these years.
Undoubtedly, the most talked-about ‘It’ couples of Bollywood today are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, and Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora. This Valentine’s Day, however, even as we gushed at their pictures, we decided to get relationship expert Dr Nisha Khanna to look at these couple-images and then share her insights into their possibly real nature.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
When the Kapoor scion got together with Alia, one of the most loved actresses today, fans were as excited as they were worried for her, given Ranbir’s past relationships.
After looking at their pictures, Dr Nisha says, “Alia looks really happy to be with Ranbir and to be clicked with him. However, while Ranbir is trying to project confidence through his body language, the question is whether he is indeed happy!”
Then, looking at another picture, she adds, “Alia is mostly seen having a big smile, but Ranbir just seems a little lost.”
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar
They surprised us all when they got together, but it certainly looks like they fit like hand-in-glove, like two pieces of the jigsaw puzzle.
“Farhan and Shibani can be seen smiling and being all cuddly,” Dr Nisha says, “If you remember, Farhan never publicly displayed love for his ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani when they were married. Clearly, Farhan seems a lot more confident and open in his relationship with Shibani.”
Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora
So much has been said and written about this couple who chose to navigate their personal life in public very carefully, seemingly as they defied many stereotypes-including one on age differences.
“There is no doubt that they express love, care and affection towards each other, but if you take a careful look you can see that the confident level varies. Malaika, of course, looks extremely confident about what she is doing, while Arjun not so much,” shares Dr Nisha. “It might have something to do with the fact that Malaika is established in her career while Arjun is still trying to find ground. But what I understand from the picture is that Arjun, most probably, plays a much more submissive role in the relationship.”
'Nothing But Love'
