Even though the ongoing coronavirus pandemic had halted shootings, Akshay Kumar still managed to make the moolah in this challenging year.
According to Forbes’ coveted list of highest-paid actors in 2020, the Good Newwz actor is the sixth highest-paid actor in the world.
He is also the only Bollywood actor to have made in the list. According to the publication, the Sooryavanshi actor has amassed $48.5 million this year.
“The only Bollywood star on the list, Kumar is working on his first television series The End for Amazon Prime. Most of his money, though, comes from endorsement deals; he shills for everything from multivitamins to toilet cleaners,” wrote the publication.
While Dwayne Johnson has made the most money this year with the streaming giant Netflix paying him $23.5 million for his upcoming film Red Notice, his total earning of the year has been $87.5 million.
Following The Rock is Ryan Reynolds, Mark Wahlberg, Ben Affleck, and Vin Diesel. Rounding the list are Lin Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and Jackie Chan.
