Sonakshi Sinha replaces Kareena Kapoor Khan in Apla Manus Hindi remake?

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker had acquired the Hindi remake rights Marathi movie 'Apla Manus'.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker had acquired the Hindi remake rights Marathi movie 'Apla Manus’ and he would be producing the film under his banner. According to some reports, Gowariker has roped in Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha to essay a role in the film.

Earlier it was being reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be essaying the female lead, but the 'Veere Di Wedding' star was not impressed by the script and had backed out from the film.

Now as per a recent report in DNA, Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to play the female lead. A source told the leading daily, “The modalities didn’t work out and Kareena is already committed to Raj Mehta’s next, with Akshay Kumar. So she also didn’t have the dates.” The source further added, “Now, the film’s makers are looking to cast Sonakshi Sinha for that role. Their talks with the actress are in the advanced stages and in all probability, things will be worked out and she will sign up for it.”

'Aapla Manus' is a successful Marathi film which was released earlier this year. It was directed by Satish Rajwade and produced by Ajay Devgn and it featured Nana Patekar, Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, Sonakshi just wrapped up Aanand L Rai produced 'Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi' and she is now busy working on Karan Johar's 'Kalank'. Sonakshi is also expected to start shooting for 'Dabangg 3' alongside Salman Khan.
