Given their common love interest in the past, bringing Vivek Oberoi and Abhishek Bachchan on board for the same project might sound like a long shot for many, but not for Ram Gopal Varma. The director is trying to land a casting coup of sorts by bringing the two actors together for his upcoming film Government, a sequel to Company.
Fifteen years ago, Vivek and Abhishek were part of Company and now Vivek will be producing its sequel. The film also featured Antara Mali, Manisha Koirala and Ajay Devgn and was loosely based on Dawood Ibrahim’s D-Company.
“Vivek is producing the film and Ramu is in talks with Abhishek Bachchan for a role in the film. Abhishek has had two hit films with the director in the past and going by the equation Ramu shares with Amitabh Bachchan, there are chances that Abhishek might agree. But then Vivek is producing and acting in the film too, so let’s see if Abhishek agrees to do the film or not,” said a source.
