Watch: This before-and-after VFX video of Bajirao Mastani will make your jaw drop

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last outing 'Bajirao Mastani' set the cash registers ringing at the Box Office and even whisked away top awards this year. The 4.47 minute video is a compilation of the VFX that went into making the magnum opus film, and just why Sanjay Leela Bhansali deserved all those awards, including a National Award.

'Bajirao Mastani' which starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in leading roles, was one of the biggest movies last year. The film, that was a love story of one of the greatest Maratha Peshwas, went on to win hearts for its ensemble cast, production value and on-screen aesthetics. While Bhansali did shoot at several original locations, he also spent a great deal of time and money on his sets, created at the film studios.

The team at NY VFXWAALA, broke down a few of the iconic scenes in the film, to give fans a look at the work that went into bringing this tale from the 1700s back to life. Filming and post production work on 'Bajirao Mastani' went on for a little over a year. The cast and crew even celebrated their 365-days on the film sets. With the tremendous amount of work that went into pre and post production, it is not hard to see what took them so long.
