Watch: Irrfan Khan delves into his dark side in this chilling Madaari trailer

The makes of Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madaari’, launched the first trailer of the film on Wednesday evening. After playing the ‘good guy’ in films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Talvar’, Irrfan switches gears to portray a much darker and grim character in this film, that has been inspired by true events.

In the trailer, Irrfan plays a commoner who loses his son due to an unfortunate incident. Feeling completely helpless and angered by the whole situation, he sets out to take his revenge by kidnapping the Home Minister’s son. According to reports, the film deals with an event that took place during the construction of an overhead Metro bridge on the Andheri-Kurla Road in suburban Mumbai.

Directed by Nishikant Kamath ‘Madaari’, also stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Tushar Dalv. The social-thriller hits theatres on June 10.
