Tumhari Sulu Tamil remake: Vidya Balan praises lead actor Jyothika

Vidya Balan’s last outing in Tumhari Sulu was a money-spinner at the box office in 2017. The plot of the film was highly appreciated. And now, it is being remade in Tamil. Actress Jyothika has come on board to play the protagonist for the Tamil version of the film.

Vidya has been grinning from ear-to-ear ever since she learnt about this development. She says, “Jyothika is a wonderful actress. I never thought someone as big as her would act in a remake of my film. Bhool Bhulaiya was a remake of Chandramukhi, where she essayed the lead role. I am sure she will do a great job with the remake of Tumhari Sulu as well,”

Suresh Triveni’s 2017 hit Tumhari Sulu, was about a housewife who becomes a radio jockey. The film got a thumbs up from the critics and audience. The Tamil version of the film will go on floors soon.
