Arjun Kapoor has finally signed his 14th film. The actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Panipat, has now signed on Shashilal Nair’s daughter Kaashvi’s directorial debut. The film has not been titled yet, but is being produced by John Abraham, Nikhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar and will see Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead.
“The subject is about people from two different countries meeting in a foreign land, and the kind of issues that arise when a girl from another country comes into a joint family,” says a source close to the development of the film.
“Kaashvi is also the daughter of noted veteran national award-winning director Shashilal Nair who has made films like Falak, Angaar and Ek Chhoti Si Love Story. It is a big film and has multiple actors in it. Since Kaashvi has also been Nikhil’s assistant previously for D-Day, as well as directed some episodes of his TV show POW, she has impressed Nikhil with her work. He has entrusted her with such a big project,” says a source close to the development.
