Mumbai: We are all well aware with the battle of words that went down between Sonam Kapoor and Shobhaa De, after the latter called her a ‘lassie who lacks oomph’. But seems like it’s all in the past for Shobhaa as she has now called the actress ‘super hot’ in her hopes to make amends.
Inspired by a campaign, Shobhaa took to her Twitter account where she tried to make things right with the actress by writing, “Saw this ad #ThingsDontJudge but people do. Inspired to make amends. Sonam Kapoor, I got it wrong: You are super hot.”
However, Sonam Kapoor hasn’t yet responded to Shobhaa’s tweet. Sonam and Shobhaa’s tiff became a public affair when the latter criticized her film ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ in her blog by mocking the film as ‘I Hate Dumb Storys’ and taking a dig at Sonam by calling her ‘a lassie who lacks oomph’.
Immediately Sonam shot back at Shobhaa on social media by writing, “Guys please don’t take Shobhaa De seriously. She’s a fossil who’s getting no action and going through menopause. So just for her.”
Later Sonam Kapoor apologised to Shobhaa by writing, “Mrs De I owe you an apology for getting personal. I'm ashamed for my momentary lapse in judgement. And apologetic.. Every writer and journalist and audience are entitled to their opinion and I respect that.”
After watching Anand L Rai's film Ranjhannaa, De applauded Sonam’s acting skills by tweeting, "Sonam can act, saala! Watch her steal the show in an otherwise confused, mixed up and illogical movie called Raanjhanaa."
