Recently we caught up with mother-daughter duo Poonam and Sonakshi Sinha at the Lakme Fashion Week. In fact it was here, at LFW, that Sonakshi came into the limelight walking the ramp five-six years back.
And not many know that Sonakshi worked as an usher at the Fashion Week before that. She laughs and says, “Yes you are right. I remember while I was a student at SNDT College I was an usher at the Fashion Week. I would escort the celebs to their seats.”
She adds, “I remember when I walked at the Fashion Week for the first time… it was a great experience, but I was slightly nervous as well.”
Life has come full circle since her ushering days. “Oh yes… today when I was here I wanted Anita Dongre to talk to you’ll — she has really made me look gorgeous.”
Adds her mother Poonam, “I remember Sonakshi walking the ramp five to six years ago at the Fashion Week. She was the showstopper for Dev and Nee. And today walking the ramp for Anita Dongre, life seems to have indeed come full circle.”
“Shatrughan and I were both seated on the first row then to cheer Sonakshi so that she would get some confidence, but she did not need it.”
