Prakash Raj to direct Nana Patekar

Prakash Raj is all set to direct a Hindi film with Nana Patekar in the lead.

The National Award-winning actor has officially announced that he is going to remake the Telugu film Ulavacharu Biryani in Hindi with Nana Patekar, also a National Award winner. Shriya Saran will play the female lead in the film, which has been titled as Tadka.

The rights of the original Malayalam film were bought by Prakash Raj when he had directed and produced the Telugu film. Prakash and Sneha were the lead pair, along with Tejus and a Kannada actress Samyukta. For the Hindi version, Prakash has chosen Nana Patekar and Shriya Saran as the lead pair, along with Taapsee.

“Bollywood’s legendary actor Nana Patekar will reprise the role that was done by Prakash Raj. Nana is impressed with Prakash Raj’s direction and agreed immediately when the latter approached him. Incidentally, Nana is also a foodie like Prakash and has a passion for cooking,” says a source. Prakash Raj is producing the Hindi film along with Zee Studios. Shooting will start in May and they are planning to complete it by June.
