It was like composing music for 8 movies. So much of hard work had gone into it, the music maestro said on 2.0.

Speaking at the event, Oscar winner AR Rahman said, “Superstar is my favourite hero. I have said this ten years ago. I was amazed with the way as how from a humble beginning he has grown into what he is today. It is because of the consistency in his career. I am inspired by his way of life. I’m drawn by his spirituality too.”

Recalling an incident, he said, “I started my musical career at the age of 11 and at the age of 40, I wanted to retire. But, fortunately, I went to the shooting locale of Enthiran(Robot) and witnessed Rajini’s untiring spirit and energy at his age, which actually changed my thoughts (smiles).”
