Arjun Kapoor lives in Bihar for a near fortnight to play a native in Half Girlfriend

The film is a reel adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name, also starring Shraddha Kapoor.

Mumbai: Bollywood actors have recently been putting in that extra effort to enhance their performances, Arjun Kapoor has gone a notch higher.

The actor, who’ll next be seen in ‘Half Girlfriend,’ a reel adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name, has not only retained the authenticity of his role, but also worked on his dialect while dubbing.

His role being that of a Bihari native in the Mohit Suri directorial, Arjun stayed in North India for a good ten odd days, interacting with locals to learn the dialect and their mannerisms. The actor also hired a language coach while at it. The actor wanted to shed his urban conversational mannerisms, to adopt that of a Bihari lad who isn’t fluent in English.

The film, helmed by Mohit Suri, stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead.

The film is slated to release on May 19.
