B'wood's highest-paid: SRK, Salman, Akshay take huge lead over Aamir despite Dangal

He is fourth in the list of highest-paid actors, but is beaten by a heavy margin by the top 3 in the list.

Mumbai: Our Bollywood films might just be earning a fraction of what its Hollywood counterparts collect, but our actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar still managed to make it to the top 10 in Forbes’ list of world’s highest-paid actors.

The magazine has now released the top 10 highest-paid actors in Bollywood, and naturally the three actors, who took up positions 8, 9 and 10 in the earlier list, took up the first three spots with earnings of USD 38 million, 37 million and 35.5 million respectively.

Aamir Khan comes fourth on the list, however, his earnings are less than one-third of the top 3 actors, at USD 12.5 million.

This is surprising considering he was not just an actor but also one of the producers of ‘Dangal’, which shattered box office records worldwide, earning close to Rs 2000 crores worldwide. The top 3 actors might have beaten him in terms of endorsements.

Despite doing just one film in a year or two, Hrithik Roshan is placed at 5th spot with USD 11.5 million earnings, after his redemption with ‘Kaabil’ following the debacle of ‘Mohenjo Daro.'

Bollywood’s exports to Hollywood, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, are the only actresses in the list, the former at 6th with USD 11 million and the latter the sharing 7th slot with her ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ co-star Ranveer Singh, earning USD 10 million.

Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor with USD 9 million and 8.5 million respectively complete the last two slots in the list.
