Esha Gupta trolled for tweeting on Syria crisis, gives it back calling it dark age'

Mumbai: The Syrian crisis has become a concern for many. An estimated 600 civilians have died since February 18, about a quarter of them children, by shelling and regime air strikes in Syria's Eastern Ghouta region, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Tuesday.

Doctors were working round the clock to treat hundreds of injured people, even though medical supplies and facilities were in short supply.

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta took to Twitter to shared a post on the same. She wrote, “I don’t care which country or religion or government I have, humanity is dying. The children are dying and it needs to stop, now #SyriaIsBleeding”. Here’s her post:

However the actress, known for speaking her mind, gave it back to a troller. She wrote:

About 40 trucks are loaded and ready to ferry relief supplies to Syria's bomb-and-siege shattered Eastern Ghouta, but there has been no let up in fighting despite a UN ceasefire resolution, a top UN official said Wednesday.

Mark Lowcock, the UN under secretary-general for humanitarian affairs, said there has been no access for humanitarian convoys, nor authorization by the regime to go into the neither besieged areas, nor medical evacuations since the Security Council resolution was passed.

On the contrary, the bombings have continued, and deaths and wounded have mounted, he said, speaking at a monthly Security Council meeting devoted to the Syrian conflict.
