The murder of a teacher by a Class IX student may be an isolated incident (Boy stabs Hindi teacher to death, February 10). It is a warning to various authorities. They must accept their acts of omission and commission. No child is born criminal. The parents, school and society are collectively responsible for this tragedy. It’s the duty of parents to spend quality time with their children, and help them grow as good citizens. Parents must accept their kids as they are, without comparing them to peers. The education system must be revamped to cater to children who are “slow learners” as it is putting pressure on them and resulting in abnormal behaviour.

The murder of a school teacher by her student is disturbing. Children are mainly moulded by their parents. They are sent to school to gain knowledge under the guidance of teachers. If the teachers are going to be attacked like this, some will think twice before joining this noble profession. Parents need to inculcate certain values in children and teach them to respect teachers.

Inappropriate stir
I feel the manner in which the Opposition parties, especially the TRS, protested when the Governor began his speech in the Assembly was inappropriate (TRS protest addressed, February 14). They could have waited for the Governor to finish his speech and then protested.

Steve jobs
The contribution of Steve Jobs to the music industry has at last been recognised (Adele rolls in the gold, February 14). It was long overdue.
