Couple robbed, maid goes missing

Dec. 15: A couple from KK Nagar has lodged a complaint against their maid alleging that she had absconded after stealing 150 sovereigns of gold jewellery from their house.
Ramesh (30), a printing press owner and his wife Latha (28) are residents of Vanniyar Street in KK Nagar. Geetha (30), of West Mambalam works as a maid in their house. Since Geetha had been working at that house for the last few years, the couple some times left the house keys for her to finish the housework when they were not at home. “On Monday evening, the couple came and checked the house and found 150 sovereigns of gold jewellery missing from the cupboard,” police said. When all attempts to contact Geetha over the phone turned futile the couple went to her residential address only to find that it was fake. The police is on the lookout for the maid.
