B.Tech student from AP kills self

Feb. 4: A 21-year-old engineering youth from Andhra Pradesh studying in a private university in Kaatankualthur committed suicide by hanging himself in his room Potheri in Maraimalai Nagar on Wednesday.
Suresh Matta, son of Sathynarayana, from Rajamundry district was a second year student at SRM university pursuing electronics and communication engineering.
He was staying in rented room in Potheri. According to his classmates Suresh had returned from his native town recently after spending time with his family for a week. He had attended the classes on Monday and Tuesday. But on Wednesday he was absent.
When he failed to answer calls on his mobile phone his friend Sairam went to his room on Wednesday evening after the classes were over and found Suresh dead. “He had hanged himself using a nylon rope. There was no suicide note. The motive behind his extreme step is not immediately known,” Maraimalai Nagar police said.
