My life has been all about making the best of the opportunities that have knocked on my door.
The actor in me:
Acting for me didn’t just happen, I planned it. I just happened to chance upon the opportunity after a commercial, which I grabbed. From then on there has been no turning back. I don’t believe in taking up too many films at once because I feel I can’t do justice to them.
Success and failure:
For an actor, success and failure are part and parcel of life. Yes, I too have had my share of failures but I never broke down. It doesn’t do any good to dwell on the failures. One has to learn to move on and learn from your mistakes. In my case, I’ve always had emotional backing from those close to me.
Decision-maker:
I’ve always believed in taking life as it comes. Some of the decisions I’ve made regarding films may have gone wrong, but I treat them as life’s many lessons.
Regrets:
I never regret anything in life. I believe in karma. You make your own rules and break them too, if it becomes necessary. Sometimes your decisions work wonders, sometimes they don’t. But I don’t believe in regretting what’s happened in the past. Some of the best experiences in life have been because of the films I’ve taken up.
Dream role:
Every film I take up is a dream for me. If I feel the journey is going to be worth it, then I go ahead and sign the script. So far, my intuition have never failed me. Yes, I’ve had to climb back up the ladder after hard falls, but that’s part of everyone’s life.
Relationships:
I believe in keeping professional life strictly professional and my personal life is a completely different track. I don’t like to mix both these areas.
Friends:
I’ve made a close circle of friends out of which some of them are not from the film industry at all.
Motto in life:
I just want to make sure I keep my head held up high all the time.
Life away from the paparazzi:
I love my space and my family. I want to make sure my close ones are always happy when I am around. It’s important to rejuvenate and discover yourself every now and then so that you get your perspectives right.
