What is special about this tablet?

It’s no news that technology in India has already accepted the tablet. And with the current scheme of things, one can safely say that there’s a lot more to come.

Recently, a leading provider of tech-enabled solutions has come up with an exclusive tablet for women professionals — its USP is that it’s so compact that it can fit into a lady’s purse and is priced reasonably at Rs 13,900.

Tech expert Vijay Mukhi says that such niche products signal that tablet companies are looking at re-defining themselves in India.

“Somehow, like the notebook, the tablet too has failed to captivate Indian buyers. The only way forward now is to target niche consumer groups such as women. And looking at its small size as compared to its bulky counterparts and the way it’s positioning itself as a ‘women’s only’, I must say it is a clever strategy,” he says.

Powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM and a battery life of over eight hours, this tablet seems to have winning potential.

“There are many gadgets that look intimidating to technophobes like me just because of their bulky sizes. So I’d definitely go for a small-sized tablet if given an option,” says Ishita Gupta, a marketing professional. But it always helps to treat a new product with caution, as Vijay says, “I suggest that one takes a look at the other tablets carefully before zeroing in on this one.
