A 16-year-old girl died here on Tuesday after she allegedly consumed poisonous substance with her boyfriend on the Valentine’s Day.

Police said Ritu Kumar (16) and his girlfriend Jyoti Kumari consumed the poisonous substance apparently with an intention to end their lives at Pirbahor area of the city.

They were rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital where Jyoti Kumari died, the sources said adding the condition of Ritu Kumar was also stated to be critical.

Police was investigating the matter, the sources added.
