Vivier goes vintage

Vivier goes vintage

A pair of vintage Roger Vivier kitten heels were recently sold for a whopping $26,629! But why? Because they are a Roger Vivier creation, they were actually designed for royalty (for an Iranian princess) and they are embroidered with silver thread and embellished with topaz!

These shoes were designed by the man who created the stiletto himself and are now a possession of the Vivier Design House. The collection also included shoes designed for John Lennon and Elizabeth Taylor. These shoes are protected by the French Shoe Federation that has pinned a price tag on them saying: Priceless!

Breaking the bank to pop the question
Malvern, the premier confectionary outlet, has taken Valentine’s Day celebrations to a newer height this year. With people ready to splurge on various items for their Valentines, why should food be left out of the running? We are not talking about dinners or champagnes; it’s the good old cupcake from Malvern that is the topic of conversation. The premier bakery products maker, Cupcake Gourmet, created a $55,000 cupcake! The cake has a velvet dressing concealing an eight-carat diamond engagement ring. What a way to pop the question! This cupcake brings mind the world’s most expensive cupcake, created to celebrate the centenary of a jewellery store established in 1910.

$25,000 Valentine’s package from Bloomspot and Kitchit
Businesses are finding novel ways to cash in on Valentine’s Day emotions, even stooping to emotional blackmail at times. But what the heck, if one can afford it, why not? This Valentine’s Day will see a package costing $25,000 per couple, offered by none other than Bloomspot and Kitchit.

The extravagant inclusions of the package justify the cost. It includes a one-night stay at a specially created bungalow all for the couple, an intimate massage, and private wine by Rajat Parr, a dinner for two, and a brunch at the hotel’s bakery. The couple will be transported by private limousine that will take the couple to certain pre-determined venues on the special day. If your valentine can splurge like this for one day, he is probably worth the “Yes”.
