When the brain is not clogged with work, then the bird in me tries to flap its wings and fly high. I’m a travel freak and like to set myself free under the sky above and hit the road ahead, wherever my eyes take me to.
Other than that, painting, sketching, reading, gardening and putting the house up occupy most of my spare time. I have a thing or two for colours and shades too. I do up the walls or fill in the canvases with radiant hues. And who can avoid whispering to the potted plants?
Keep them in a corner of your little room under a sun-lit window or along the verandah railings and they become your best pals in your most lonely moments. Trust them to talk to you silently and conceal your closely-guarded secrets over the surface of their leaves. Another facet of my life that has made me a much more evolved and an enlightened person is my spiritual healing.
Six years ago, I found solace in Buddhism. Sometimes, you need to salvage your internal wounds with a divine aid. I’d say, that this episode was the most beautiful thing to happen to me in the recent past. You know, my gut-instinct often mutters that I’ve metaphorically developed an invisible 11th finger which constantly points me to the right direction, the moment I step out on the wrong square or put my erroneous foot forward.
My conscience now keeps me awake all the time and taps me to remain watchful with a clear, open mind. It is said that your heart is cleansed when your mind is washed off that unwanted dirt.
