With bike sales expected to remain bullish, one can safely expect a reasonable number of new releases this year. Mouthwatering launches from Harley-Davidson, Ducati and our very own Bajaj are the ones that would probably get the most attention, for obvious reasons.
Harley Davidson:
Leather attire will continue to see an increase in demand, because of two new market entrants expected this year from this revered company. The Tenth Anniversary V-Rod in a gorgeous silver hue and the Dyna Switchback (which HD claims to be versatile enough to be used in town and on the open road) should have no problem setting the standards of road presence all over again.
Ducati:
With the Monster 795 already available, the Italians aim to further their stand in India, albeit with to those with far higher card swipe ability. The 1199 Panigale, quite possibly the Veyron on two wheels, will be sold at around `25 lakh later this year.
Bajaj:
The Pulsar range has been around for 10 years now, and the latest edition of the Pulsar 220 will see some component sharing with the KTM Duke 200. Can’t be too much of a bad thing, as we hope it will mean better quality, and of course, more eye candy. If priced right, it could do very well.
