Shari case: Where have all the VIPs gone?

Fifty-two year old Surendran Kumar is not willing to shave his long beard even after the CBI court convicted five persons for sexually abusing his daughter Shari S. Nair.

“I won’t give up the legal battle until those responsible for my daughter’s death are punished,” says Surendran who had wowed not to shave his beard until he gets justice.

“How can a girl who had delivered a healthy baby without any problems all on a sudden collapse and die. I don’t know if any VIPs are involved or not. But am sure that something fishy took place which led to my daughter’s death,” said Surendran, adding that he would move the High Court to get justice.

Surendran feels that Shari’s maternal aunt Omanakutty, who turned to be an approver in the case deserves no mercy. “Despite being her own aunt, she handed over my daughter in the wrong hands,” said Surendran who was at the CBI court to hear the judgment in the Killiroor case.

He also termed baseless the statement made by Praveen in the court that he was willing to marry Shari. “He might be claiming the paternity of my grand daughter with the intention of getting her. But I won’t let anybody stake claim over her,” says Surendran.
