The prime witness in a case relating to the Kiliroor sexual abuse, who allegedly drove convict Latha Nair to a hideout in Chempazh-anthy, turned hostile on Thursday, saying he was not aware of any such incident.
Rajendrakumar, a native of Tiruvar near Kottayam, appeared before the CBI court here where the trial in the case relating to the hideout began, and made his statement.
The CBI, which probed the Killiroor sex scandal, initiated a separate case against Abdul Latheef and P.R.Devadas for arranging the hideout to Latha Nair. According to the CBI, Latha Nair came to the hideout in Chempazhanthy in Rajendrakumar’s car.
The trial in the case will continue in the coming days. Five persons including Latha Nair were recently convicted in the case that involved the sexual exploitation of a minor girl.
