Launching a scathing attack on Congress and Telugu Desam, actress and YSR Congress leaders, Ms Roja and Ms Lakshmi Parvathi, said that both parties were affected by the Jagan phobia.

Speaking at Jagan’s ‘Cheneta Deeksha’ at Dharmavaram on Tuesday, Ms Roja alleged that the Congress and TD had a nexus to suppress the political growth of Mr Jagan, seeing people’s support to the YSR Congress.

Ms Lakshmi Parvathi said that people would not believe Mr Naidu, though he feigned to be pro-farmer.

Though the turnout was huge for the Cheneta Deeksha, it failed to gain the support of all in the town where the weaving community population is around 40,000.

It was observed that not even 10,000 local weavers paid attention to Jagan’s deeksha. His demand of giving equal importance to powerlooms and handlooms was something that may not go down well with the weavers.

It is also observed that there was no spark in the speech of Mr Jagan on Tuesday, which lasted barely in 20 minutes. He was passive in attacking the government as well.

Moreover, he lacked clarity over his deeksha as he earlier announced it only for weavers and later added fee reimbursement issue. It is learnt that Mr Jagan had become serious over the district leaders failing to mobilise crowds on Sunday, the first day of his deeksha.
