No rancour on post, says JC

The Tadipatri MLA, Mr J.C. Diwakar Reddy, said that he was not dissatisfied for not becoming a state minister.

The Tadipatri MLA, Mr J.C. Diwakar Reddy, said that he was not dissatisfied for not becoming a state minister.

Indirectly referring to the district ministers, he said in the Congress minister posts would be given based on castes, religions and groups and added that so called leaders in the district were not in a position to stop him.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Mr Diwakar Reddy said he didn’t have groups like the PCC president, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana group, and the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s group and added that he belonged to the Congress group.

He said that his opponents in Anantapur district were not responsible for denial of minister post to him.

Mr Diwakar Reddy said that differences were common in the Congress and they would subside in due course of time.

He made it clear that he would ensure that his group would get adequate number of posts if nominated posts were filled in the state.

The former minister said he would strive to strengthen the Congress in the district and added that he would conduct constituency-wise meetings for that. He said that so called leaders in the district should reduce their temper to benefit the party.

Mr Diwakar Reddy said that the party had lost MLC (local bodies) seat due to their temper.

He said that humility was necessary and added that temper would only harm the party. Mr Diwakar Reddy said that leaders should mingle with all activists in the district.

He said that there were more number of party activists and leaders in Hindupur constituency than those even in his native Tadipatri constituency.

Mr Diwakar Reddy said that he would strive to unite all Congress leaders in Hindupur constituency.

Municipal chairman J.V. Anil Kumar and others were present.
