All party leaders urged the government to create Satya Sai district with Putta-parthi as headquarters.

In a meeting held here on Thursday, they said Puttaparthi has all facilities to became a district headquarters. The leaders also urged the government to declare Satya Sai birth anniversary as a state holiday, industrially develop Puttaparthi and include spiritual teachings of Sai Baba in curriculum.

Puttaparthi MLA Palle Raghunatha Reddy said that all parties should work unitedly to achieve formation of Satya Sai district. He urged the Congress leaders to strive to solve water problem at Putta-parthi.

Mr Raghunatha Reddy also promised to work for establishing industries at Puttaparthi. Leaders of all parties were present.
