The district chapter of Indian Academy of Pediatrics is all set to conduct a regular check at all Maternity hospitals in the district to find out infants with hearing impairment.

“The project will help the public to sort out the difficulties faced by their childrenwith hearing impairment which may lead to slow learning and speaking disability”, said Dr M.C. Thomas, president, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Kollam.

The early detection will help the child to undergo proper treatment.
