Mr Momo Bouabida, a native of West Yorkshire, UK, and one of the biggest buyers of coir products from Britain, has arrived at the coir fest venue on Sunday, bringing a bulk order of coir products.
Mr Bouabida, who has 1,200 giant coir business clients in England and Ireland, told Deccan Chronicle that coir products from Kerala had much space in the British market for decades.
Mr Bouabida says that Britishers can retain their past glory in the Kerala coir industries if more English people come forward to run coir businesses.
The Coir Board should taks steps to implement more progressive marketing techniques in Britain, he said, suggesting more advertisements on Kerala coir products in Britain to make people aware of the products.
