Six persons, including four schoolchildren, were injured when a tanker lorry hit a school bus at Nettoor near Marad on Wednesday evening.

As per the police, the tanker lorry, which was coming from Vyttila hit the school bus carrying students of Sacred Heart School, Thevara, around 4 pm. The bus was hit from behind and in the impact it was pushed over a road median.

The injured were admitted to the Lakeshore Hospital. Apart from a helper and driver, 42 children were in the bus. Police has registered a case and arrested the lorry driver.
