If you see a group of girls playing basketball on an oil covered court causing them to fall, get up and limp back to the game only to fall again, or find them diving into a deep pond to recover a hidden object, you are watching a “Roadiez” event.

Among the many competitive events are eating chilli chapattis too. This is a competition open only to daring girls, one of the many events of the three- day annual tech fest at the Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, Ernakulam that got off to a colourful start recently.

“Around 40 colleges from the state and neighbouring states, including the IIT- Chennai, are participating in the event. Our whole idea is to have fun and that is the idea behind competitions such as the Treasure hunt, Love letter writing, Corporate walk, So u think u can dance and the Cooking show. The last one exclusively for boys,” said Veena Vijayan, the secretary of the Arts Club.

Friday, will see an “Auto Expo” at the college campus in Arakunnam besides the “Proshow” that boasts of the likes of noted singers like Benny Dayal, Berny-Ignatius, Jyotsna and Franco among others.
The fest also features paper presentations and rock band contest.
