The rider of a two-wheeler intercepted a KSRTC low-floor AC bus and shattered its expensive glass by pelting stones at it near Edapally, all because he was not given right of way to overtake the bus despite repeatedly honking the horn.
The incident happened two days ago in Pattadipalam near Edapally and a case of public property destruction has been registered with the Kalamassery police station against the absconding accused.
“The man in his early thirties was enraged after he failed to overtake the KSRTC bus just before the Edapally toll.
He soon managed to overtake the bus and intercept it. Then he walked over to the driver’s side and threw his helmet inside the bus.
Not satisfied with this gesture, he pelted stones at the bus which shattered the vehicle’s rear emergency exit glasses,” a police official said.
The cops have got the bike number and a hunt is on for the accused as KSRTC authorities say that this act has cost them `22,090 in repairs. Kochi tops the list when it comes to rash driving and road rage incidents.
