The acquisition work for the proposed electronic park at Amballoor will begin in two months, said the district collector, Mr P.I. Sheikh Pareeth, here on Thursday, following a discussion with the local residents at the village office there.

The government is expected to acquire 347 acres of land from Chirakkal, Manthu-ruthel and Puthenkavu regions in Amballoor village.

The acquisition will affect 30 families, who will be given compensatory land according to the new package issued by the state government. Rest of the land is to be acquired from 600 owners.

“An office will also be built next to the Amballoor village office from where the acquisition works will be operated. The whole project will be completed under fast-track,” Mr Pareeth said.
