Kerala Strikers are working hard for their debut match on 22nd of this month.

The practice session held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here got a boost with the arrival of its captain Mohanlal.

A meeting was also convened with the KCA secretary, Mr T.C. Mathew, the Ernakulam District Cricket Association secretary, Mr Jeyash Mathew, Mohanlal, coach Chandrasenan and team manager Edavela Babu at the stadium.

Mr Mathew also oversaw the team’s bowling and batting practice at the nets, the condition of the pitch and the seating arrangements for the approaching match.

Mohanlal was optimistic on the match drawing crowds because of the celebrity factor.

Coach Chandrasenan said, “The facilities provided by the KCA as well as the corporation, the guidance, blessings and support will go a long way in making it easy to play the match.”

A giant screen is also planned to be installed and three more practice matches will be held on January 17, 18 and 19 to hone the skills of the team members.
