The YSR Congress got a shock when the party leader from Kurnool, Mr Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy, met the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, and expressed his desire to join the party. Mr Chakrapani Reddy, brother of former minister, Mr Shilpa Mohan Reddy, met Mr Naidu at the NTR Trust Bhavan along with the TD leader Mr Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy. “I have decided to resign YSR Congress and join the TD. I don’t like YSR Congress policies. The date of formal joining would be announced soon,” he said after meeting Mr Naidu. Mr Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy said YSR Congress would wind up soon like Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam. “There is a coterie of Ambati Rambabu and others around Jagan and that;s the reason YSR Congress party’s battery is getting down fast,” he quipped.
