The Telangana Rashtra Samiti has decided to use the ensuing Budget Session of the Assembly to rake up the Telangana issue and fight for a resolution of the demand. The TRS legislature party and politburo that met here on Friday also decided to disrupt the Governor’s traditional address to the Assembly and fight for Telangana in the House as well as outside. TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly advised party leaders not to be complacent about bypolls.

“We have to take bypolls seriously. You have seen how the TD diverted its votes to the Congress in Banswada,” he said. The party also extended its support to the strike notice served by state employees from Telangana earlier in the day. The employees JAC decided to revive the struggle demanding a solution to issues relating to their service matters that cropped up during the general strike.
