Boar hunter dies in misfire

One of the five persons who went hunting for wild boars at Jeevangi village of Basheerabad mandal bordering Karnataka died following a misfire. According to the Basheerabad SI, Mr Raghunath, the five persons, who hail from a thanda near Chincholi village in Karnataka, had come in search of wild boars that were destroying jowar crop.

One of them, Mohan Rathod died after sustaining a bullet injury due to the misfire. They came in search of the the boars on Monday morning and the incident took place in the evening. “It might have happened when they all surrounded the boars and opened fire. They usually come here for harvesting crop and have licenced weapons to hunt wild animals destroying crop,” police said.
