The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court issued summons to senior IAS officer C.V.S.K. Sharma and three others in connection with denotification of over nine acres of prime land at Ameerpet. The IAS officer who is at present the principal secretary, horticulture and sericulture, had served as principal secretary to Chief Minister when the HMDA land was denotified in favour of private persons.
The court directed them to appear before it on February 3 so that their their statements could be recorded in connection with the case. According to T. Sriranga Rao, counsel for the complainant, the concerned file bearing the word ‘chase’ had signature of the IAS officer and he knew about the transaction.
The request for denotification of the land worth about `200 crore was put up by Ms Vijaya Kumari, one of the beneficiaries of the land. The others summoned were K. Narayana Reddy, the then land acquisition officer of HMDA, forest range officer who was on deputation to HMDA and running nursery on the said land and N.V. Srinivas, investigation officer (IO), ACB.
