1L jobs created: CM

The state government on Tuesday claimed that the target of creating one lakh jobs under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, the job generation scheme launched by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, was met by the end of December. According to a CMO press release, as many as 1,01,082 jobs were created. Of these, 76,908 were through employment generation mission; 14,826 under MEPMA; 2,258 in technical education and 7,090 through employment and training department. The CMO press release further said the vision of Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu is to convert non-literate, school drop-out, unskilled and semi-skilled unemployed youth into a productive workforce.
