Hyderabad to get Adobe's artificial intelligence lab: K T Rama Rao

Adobe Systems will set up its artificial intelligence lab in Hyderabad soon.

Hyderabad: American technology major Adobe Systems will set up its artificial intelligence lab in Hyderabad soon. The company makes popular products like Photoshop, Acrobat Reader, etc. “Adobe is thrilled to announce that we are starting an advanced AI lab in Hyderabad. The abundance of tech talent in Hyderabad, coupled with the pro-business stance of minister K.T. Rama Rao, makes this an exciting initiative for growth for Adobe,” said Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen. Mr Rama Rao met Mr Narayen on the sidelines of WCIT on Monday.

Meanwhile, Union IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad along with Mr Rao launched the Technology Demonstration Network (TDN) of T-Fiber. The Union minister interacted with students of a government school at Maheshwaram using three-way communication between the school students, a teacher in Hyderabad and the Union minister in Hyderabad.

“The idea behind launching this pilot was to showcase the possibilities that a high-speed fiber optic cable will open up for both government and private sector,” Mr Rama Rao said. Through the pilot project TDN, services in agriculture, healthcare, education and entertainment that can be delivered over T-Fibre.
