These hackers posted raunchy image of a women and posted objectionable tweets.

New Delhi: India’s chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian Twitter account was hacked on Monday, with hackers posting links of escort services from his official handle.

“My twitter account was hacked. My profuse apologies for the nuisance/offensive tweets that were sent out as a result,” Twitted Mr Subramanian in the evening after the account was restored.

These hackers posted raunchy image of a women and posted objectionable tweets. However, Twitterati had a field day making fun of the incident. “It is very exciting to see your tweets when hacked than reading boring economy #Jumla numbers when not hacked. Thanks,” said one tweet.

Some raised concern that hackers could have posted wrong economic data from the twitter account of the chief economic adviser causing panic.
