IFCI to sell properties of Hyderabad firm

Sahasra is an agri firm set up by Mr Bala Reddy.

Hyderabad: IFCI has put four properties belonging to Gopu Velangini Mary, the wife of ICSA (India) Ltd promoter Gopu Bala Reddy, to recover loans given to Sahasra Investments under the Srfaesi Act.

Sahasra is an agri firm set up by Mr Bala Reddy. According to an auction notice, it had taken Rs 18.5 crore loan in October 2013. By February 2016, the outstanding has risen to Rs 26.89 crore. In 2015, Sebi had imposed a fine of '4.5 crore on seven entities, including Sahasra, for violating several market norms, including insider trading regulations.
